In Afghanistan's Bamyan province, people's main sources of food and income are agricultural production and livestock farming, heavily relying on natural resources available in their surrounding environment. Year after year, their livelihoods have however been highly affected by the degradation of these resources, due to entrenched unsuitable practices, as well as to climate change.

Present for 35 years in Afghanistan, SOLIDARITÉS INTERNATIONAL has been helping the rural population, often threatened by natural disasters, by supporting their farming and livestock projects. In Bamyan province, SOLIDARITÉS INTERNATIONAL works with rural communities for the protection of their pastures, a vital resource for more than 33,000 people.
